About

Trena J Myers is an intuitive abstract artist and an Emory University trained health coach. She empowers busy overworked people to connect to their inner child, and let go of stress. She is the founder of the Color Theory Code, a safe place for creative healing. We have all gone through some sort of trauma. Broken crayons still color, so lets make a fun mess!

Trena is an entrepreneur owning her art and coaching business since 2014, Cre8tive Agency. 

In addition to her having her own business, Trena is the CEO of Rare Wish,a nonprofit with the mission to improve the quality of life for rare families by granting wishes, funding clinical innovation, and offering free healthcare tools. 


When Trena is not painting or designing, she enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, hiking, kayaking, and volunteering. She has kayaked the Mississippi River and kayaked from GA to SC and back in two hours.


She has numerous organizations that she has volunteered her time providing. More information about her volunteerism can be found below. 


Coming from a long line of family being in the military and was raised in the Air Force, she has traveled majority of her life, and her son decided to take the same route living in Europe.

She began to form her incredible work ethic at a young age, spending time to create her work environment, living her platform, and practicing in pursuit of the ultimate goal: to be counted among the top influence's in the world. 

Trena's platform is #makerarevisible. Having taken decades and a misdiagnosed Rare Disease, she has become a voice, an activist and advocate for Rare Strides. June 2023 she planned, executed and emceed the 2nd annual Glow in the Dark Concert benefiting Rare STRIDES, Rare Wish Fund where they grant wishes to Children and Adults with a Rare Disease. It is our mission to host a concert in every state and to grow the program with ambassadors across the US. Trena has created a Children's book series and a Striped Teddy Bear named Sunny. Her goal is to get 1000 teddy bears on ambulances to give to children who have a rare disease to provide comfort during their medical crisis.


Trena never gave up hope for answers after being told time and time again that her illness was all in her head. Numerous of infections, loss of organs, eyebrows and her hair and with a simple blood test, HOPE finally found her. 

Having more than 1 rare disease, Trena has become the Director of Marketing and Communications for Rare Strides. She helps #makerarevisible volunteering her time weekly creating social media content for the organization and hosting/producing  podcasts on social media and podcast media such as Spotify. She has attended Capitol Day on the Hill speaking to Congressmen/women about the Rare Community and how they can help make a difference. She has been an integral part of Code Rare and Rare Wish where they grant a wish to a child with a rare disease.

IDF 5K Walk Charlotte, NC

I'm super excited to announce that I'll be serving as team captain for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) 5K Walk for PI in Charlotte, NC, on July 27th! This event is particularly close to my heart, and I'd love for you to join me and my team, The Zebra Queens, in raising funds to support the incredible work of the IDF.
Charlotte’s 5K is perfect if just want to stroll for a great cause, everyone is welcome! This event takes place indoors while you explore the Discovery Place Science starting at 9am. Your participation and donations will help provide vital support to those living with primary immunodeficiency (PI) like me. Every step we take together will make a huge difference in the lives of many.

We are so blessed to announce that our Red Carpet Interviews will be hosted by Trena J. Myers, crowned Miss United Elite USA 2024. Trena is a beacon of hope and a powerful advocate for the rare disease community. Her legacy project, #MakeRareVisible, encapsulates her dedication to improving the quality of life for families affected by rare diseases. As the CEO of RareWish.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Trena spearheads initiatives that grant wishes, fund clinical innovation, and provide free healthcare tools to those in need. One of their standout campaigns is the Sunny the Rare Bear Campaign, which aims to brighten the lives of children and adults with rare diseases.

Community Engagement and Collaborations

Giving Back

The causes that Trena cares about in the world are a major influence on the philanthropic efforts they get involved with. Trena has many goals when it comes to tackling the tough issues in the world, and tries to structure their charitable initiatives in a way that makes achieving those goals realistic. Learn more about the causes supported below.

Rare Strides/Rare Wish

Rare Strides is an organization that provides education to physicians and healthcare providers about rare diseases. 


According to NIH, there are over 10000 identified rare diseases. 

Trena is the Director of Communication/Marketing and volunteers over 10 hours a week to this organization. She in an integral part of the organization providing business strategy, organized 2nd annual Glow in the Dark Concert, emceed the concert and assists with creating social media content and podcasts.

She also volunteers and serves as Rare Wish's CEO, the sister organization to Rare STRIDES, a nonprofit with the mission to improve the quality of life for rare families by granting wishes, funding clinical innovation, and offering free healthcare tools. 

Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce

Trena has volunteered her time to the Gwinnett Chamber as an Ambassador. She was selected to represent the chamber as an ambassador to engage potential members at networking events and ribbon cuttings which provides her a great outreach opportunity.

Rainbow Village

This charity is dedicated to supporting individuals going through difficult times and living in dire circumstances. They want to make a positive and lasting impact on their lives, and are always looking for new and innovative ways to make a real difference. No matter which community you’re from, those in need deserve help and support. Rainbow Village is a transition community for families with children located in Gwinnett County. We raised money to provide art supplies to the children.

Trena is an active volunteer. 2023-24.

Gwinnett County Schools

Trena has supported and been actively involved with this organization since 2019. This is a project and a cause that she takes very seriously, and has collaborated with three different groups who have contributed over 20lbs of plastic lids that will be melted into a bench.

Rotary Club

Trena has been inducted into the Rotary Club in Iowa where she has been invited to participate in their campaigns: mental health, " Don't Bottle Up" and Anti-Human Trafficking. Trena will be performed a live Art Painting at the National Iowa Holiday Luncheon in 2022 where it was auctioned off to provide funding for the anti-human trafficking campaign bringing in over $3200. 

Trena is currently in the process of transferring her membership in Georgia.

Gwinnett County Chamber

Trena was nominated twice and selected twice as a finalist in the Gwinnett County Chamber Moxie Award in the Pay it Forward and Uprising Category. This award recognizes women in the community who contribute, or pay it forward. 

Gwinnett Coalition of Health and Human Services

Lead a book drive for ages 0-8 with her work team donating over 20 books. Trena currently serves on the Coalition board.

Gwinnett County Parks and Rec

With this initiative, she worked with the parks and rec, and senior centers in Gwinnett County Georgia to provide health education, health coaching and encouragement in a walk and talk campaign.

Keokuk Chamber of Commerce

Selected as the Assistant Director to the Keokuk Chamber of Commerce where she facilitated workshops, wrote their weekly newsletter that included business tips and created social media content for the organization. 

Trena successfully assisted fundraising sponsorships for their annual golf outing, and recycling events. 

She is an Iowa Certified Combat Human Trafficking advocate. 

The Chamber provided her volunteer opportunities in the community like helping Main Street Keokuk, Inc, or serving on the Art and Cultural board through Main Street Keokuk, Inc, Live Healthy Lee Co. and helping the local United Way Keokuk Chapter. Trena also served on the Keokuk Homeless Alliance where she performed a live painting during their Homeless Dinner Fundraiser in January 2022, it was auctioned for funds to build the shelter, her painting raised $500 and the dinner raised over $3k. 

Lydia's House

Lydia’s House is an organization that provides transitional housing and life skills training for women. It offers assistance to women that are frequently homeless, as they move from dependent, often abusive relationships into independent, self-sufficient lifestyles. Additionally, it assists residents in child reunification if substance abuse is involved.


This is the tri-state area’s only transitional housing facility. The facility provides residents with a program that teaches necessary life skills to live independently. This collaborative approach to empowerment is the keystone to developing self-sufficiency in the residents. The program includes personal development, vocational training, substance abuse counseling, interpersonal skills building, community involvement, leisure activities and independent living skills.

Trena served on Lydia House board and provided facilitation and strategic planning as a volunteer. 

Hawthorne Elementary Adopt a Class

Trena adopted two classrooms at Hawthorne Elementary in Keokuk, Iowa. She has contributed to a valentine's day card drive, 100 days of school drive and Project Traveling Socks where she helped deliver over 100 pairs of socks to Kdg and 3rd grade community closet for an underserved community.

iamLov Organization

Trena collaborated with Ms. Woman United States 2020, Joanna Trailov, and her non-profit organization iamLov presenting art therapy for her Health and Wellness Summit and a Cruise for Lov offering an IGTV Fitness segment and is planning Create Lov Art Gallery Show in July 2021.

She created and painted the first Butterfly Effect mural in Keokuk, Iowa.

October 2021, she organized and executed the first black tie gala for the non-profit.


They have raised over $2k that will be used for workshops and retreats.

Trena served as the Vice President of this organization providing over 40 hours of volunteer hours per month for 2021-2022. 

Jr Achievement Mentor

This organization is dedicated to supporting education in the financial, business and entrepreneurial fields . They want to make a positive and lasting impact on middle school students lives, and are always looking for new and innovative ways to make a real difference. Trena served as a mentor to two groups to come up with a business and marketing strategy. She has served in Georgia and Iowa programs.

Paper Heart Campaign

Trena has supported and been actively involved with this organization since 2016. She led this campaign with collaboration from three groups to create paper hearts to encourage healthcare workers during COVID-19.

Kidfitstrong Challenge in Piedmont Park

With this initiative, the goal is to promote healthy lifestyles for children in need all over the metro Atlanta area. Easy access to the proper equipment and facilities for the youth around the world can empower them with the ability to pursue their dreams, and develop a fun and healthy hobby that improves the quality of their lives.

Georgia HOSA

Georgia HOSA is the largest organization in the world that supports High School students who are learning and interested in exploring health careers. Trena was a presenter and judge for the State conference and has been involved with this organization since 2008.

Gwinnett County Dept of Child Services

Collected and distributed book bags for foster care kids back to school needs.

Walk MS Atlanta 2020

Serving as co-captain leading a hospital team in one of the top fundraising teams benefiting Multiple Sclerosis.

Immune Deficiency Foundation

The Atlanta walk for the Immune Deficiency Foundation has been an organization very dear and close to Trena's heart as an individual living with an immune deficiency. She led a team in raising funds for the virtual walk to include a $2000 Corporate sponsorship from a metro Atlanta hospital. 

Trena also provided art therapy for one of the support groups in central Georgia. 

Lions Club Drive Up Food Drive

The Lions Club with collaboration with the Rotary Clubs in Gwinnett, and Trena helped distribute 1400 boxes of fresh food to the community.
